Hand #1

In a three-handed game, been opens 3x to 75 from the button. Small blind folds and I call with . I chose to defend this hand because from the button I have a very wide range, and is a good enough hand to defend.

I check the flop and been makes a pot sized bet of 160. I decided to call because I believe my second pair in a heads up game is strong enough, plus I don’t think he would do that with his nuts to get me out the hand.

Also, I observed been’s bet sizes are during previous games, and you can pick up a lot of information by how your opponent bets.

I check again and been bets 480, another pot sized bet. Here I have two options: to raise or just call. The river is an , and almagenio decided to donk bet again, 730 into a 660 pot. I had a total of 830 left behind. While holding the nuts it was obviously a perfect scenario for me, and I put him all in for 830 so he only had to call 100 more.
