How to Use CoinPoker’s Heads-Up Display

Using the Heads-Up Display is easy, but interpreting the statistics is where the true skill lies.


Step 1: Enter Poker Games

Before you can gaze upon your Heads-Up Display, you’ll need to be sitting at CoinPoker cash game or tournament tables.

Step 2: Click On Your Opponent’s Avatar

When you’re curious about your opponents, just click on their avatar.

Their profile will pop up on screen, including useful statistics and a place for you to add player notes or tag them in a certain color.

At first, you probably won’t understand some of the figures you’re seeing, but these statistics are powerful if you understand them.

Glossary of Heads-Up Display Terms

Get familiar with HUD acronyms and terms so you can understand their meaning and use them to your advantage.

  • VPIP: Stands for Voluntarily Put In Pot. It’s the number of times you call, raise, or go all in as your first action preflop.
  • PFR: Stands for Pre-Flop Raise. It is the number of times you raise preflop.
  • WTSD: Stands for Went To ShowDown. It is the percentage of times you go to showdown after seeing a flop.
  • WSD: Stands for Won money at Showdown. It is the percentage of times you win the pot at showdown.
  • 3-BET: A 3-bet is when there is a raise ahead of you, and you raise. It is the third bet, because there was a bet, then a raise, then your raise (the third bet).
  • C-BET: When a player raises preflop, then bets again on the flop, this is a continuation bet (c-bet).
  • STEAL: When you raise preflop and all the other players fold without any prior action, it means you steal (win) the pot.
  • CHECK/RAISE: Check/Raise means you check, hoping another player will make a bet, so you can later raise.
