The PLO Cash Game World Championship Breaks Records

CoinPoker has long been the home of high stakes, and it’s now the undisputed epicenter of Pot Limit Omaha cash games.

This is due to the first Pot Limit Omaha edition of the Cash Game World Championship, which enjoys great popularity.

As of today, more than 890 players are battling at the tables. The numbers speak for themselves.

For a long time, PLO legend “venividi1993” had led the leaderboard, but last week things did not go well for the Dutchman.

He was hit by a brutal downswing, tumbling from 1st all the way down to 8th on the leaderboard allowing a player by the name of “godfromstock” to rush into the leading position.

Meanwhile, “godfromstock” went on a sick heater and managed to pull away from the field with four days to go.

He is setting the pace in the GGWC and is the first and only player to surpass 10,000 points. He’s now at over 17,500 points with a few days until the competition wraps up.

Not only is he leading the leaderboard, but he’s also the most profitable player in the top 10, boasting more than $150,000 in winnings.

However, the swings and variance in Pot Limit Omaha are huge, so anything can happen!

On many online poker sites, players attempt to gain advantages by “seat scripting.” Third party applications spectate cash game lobbies and wait for recreational players to join tables, then reserve seats with them. You can think of scripting as a kind of predatory assisted table selection.

CoinPoker recently banned several accounts using scripting technology, and will continue to do so whenever we notice this unfair practice.
