Before the Mid-Stakes Cash Game World Championship starts, players should prepare.
The event has a 100BB minimum buy-in rule, with auto-reload always switched on. This means that you’ll have to have your bankroll ready for multiple buy-ins at $2.50/$5 stakes.
There is no need to apply for the games. Registration for the Mid-Stakes CGWC tables will be open to all once the competition begins.

Head to the CGWC tab of the CoinPoker app to see the lobby, where all event tables will be displayed. Take your pick, take your seats, and take your shot at rising up the leaderboards.
Your actions are scored based on $ EV won. This means the profitability of your actions are what rank, not your winnings.

You’re free to play whenever you want, but there will definitely be peak times during the event. In past Cash Game World Championships, we saw that around 17:00 UTC was the most active time.
Make sure to hit the minimum 20,000 hand requirement to be eligible for this event’s prizes.

Mid-Stakes CGWC Ends

The last days of the Mid-Stakes CGWC will be the most competitive as players look to close the gaps and edge out their opponents.
Play will officially stop at 00:00 UTC on X X, and leaderboard ranks will be frozen.
Everyone will be able to watch these matches unfold, live in the CoinPoker app or on our YouTube channel.

Rankings update based on your $ EV won throughout the event.
Players are ranked by $ EV won rather than actual winnings. This measures the profitability of your decisions, rewarding skill over outcomes. It basically means that nobody can be crowned the champion through luck.
Even if a player went on an extremely long upswing, the $ EV scoring system would only be looking at the profitability of each of their actions, not the positive variance (luck) they experienced.
Players accumulate $ EV won continuously from X to X.
Your position on the leaderboard at 00:00 UTC on X determines your final rank and prize.
Play stops at 00:00 UTC on X, at which point leaderboard ranks are frozen.
These final standings are determined by tracking the $ EV won of each player in the event, from the start until the very last second.
The Mid-Stakes Cash Game World Championship is played exclusively at No Limit Hold’em (NLHE) 6-max tables at $2.50/$5 stakes.
All tables are Show Tables, meaning that the winner’s cards are shown after a hand, even if the other players in the hand folded. On a normal table, the winner would have the choice to show or not show their cards. On Show Tables, these cards are shown automatically.
All tables are rake-free for the duration of the event.
Mid-Stakes CGWC Terms & Conditions
Below, you’ll find the Terms and Conditions for the Mid-Stakes Cash Game World Championship.
Gameplay
- The grand prize goes to the player who has the highest overall $EV winnings and has played at least 20,000 hands.
- Hands played during the weekend VIP games will not count towards the leaderboard for this event.
- Heads up hands played on the Cash Game World Championship tables will not count towards the leaderboard for this event.
- All Cash Game World Championship tables will be Show Tables and have the “show” cards rule in place. (whichever player wins the pot regardless of the street will automatically show their cards)
- CoinPoker reserves the right to use any competitors’ hole cards and statistics (in the form of graphs or other summaries) for Content Creation purposes
- The leaderboard will be updated once per day at approximately 12:00 UTC.
- Leaderboard points are allocated on a hand-by-hand basis. If a hand extends beyond whenever the leaderboard information is gathered, the points for that session count for the following day.
- It is entirely at CoinPoker’s discretion to eliminate any player from this promotion in case of identified or suspected game abuse with the intention to compete for the leaderboard.
- CoinPoker has a new security protocol in place for this event. There may be some additional prizes awarded, more information coming!
