How to Make Deals in Tournaments
CoinPoker allows players remaining at a tournament final table to agree on a deal and split the remaining prize pool based on ICM calculations.
This feature can help players reduce variance and lock in prize money before the tournament finishes. There’s still a rank to play for, but prize money can be locked in beforehand.
We’ll explain exactly how making deals in CoinPoker tournaments works.
How Does Tournament Deal Making Work?
A deal in a CoinPoker tournament can only be requested and agreed upon by following these steps.

1. Open the Deal Window
You can request a deal in a CoinPoker tournament once the final table is reached.
To offer a deal, click the green Deal button at the top right of the tournament table.
A small Deal flag will show beside your avatar.

2. Review the Payouts
The deal-making window opens and displays:
- Player ranks
- Current chip stacks
- Payouts if the tournament ends with current ranks
- ICM payouts if a deal is made
- Decision status for each player (✅ or ❌)
ICM stands for “Independent Chip Model” and is convenient for converting your chips into a monetary value.

3. Accept or Reject the Deal
Each remaining player must accept the deal for it to happen.
You will see a green tick mark or a red cross, depending on who has accepted or rejected the deal.
Play will stop during this 30-second period and resume after the deal is accepted or rejected by each player.

4. Play Continues
If all players agree, the tournament prizes are distributed according to the displayed ICM values and the game continues.
If one or more players decline, the tournament continues as normal.
If a deal is rejected, players can still make another deal later, but the ICM values will be changed if chip stacks are not the same as before. This means that prizes will also have changed.
Important Information About Deals
Here are some key things to know about tournament deals on CoinPoker:
- Deals are based on ICM calculations
- All remaining players must agree, or no deal will be made
- Deal values are calculated automatically by the system
- If a deal is accepted, tournament play continues normally, but prizes are already decided
- If a deal is rejected, tournament play continues normally
