ALL IN OR FOLD (AOF) POKER

All-In or Fold poker (AoF) is a special, fast-paced format of traditional poker designed to produce faster results and help players improve their pre-flop skills.

What Is AoF Poker?

AoF stands for All-In or Fold. This is an action-packed poker format where players can only make two decisions: go all-in, or fold. It is played on 4-player tables at a faster pace, allowing for more hands per hour.

Rules of AoF Poker

The game’s rules are even simpler than traditional poker variants, as all players at the table must either go All In or Fold pre-flop.

  • Poker Formats: You can choose from Texas Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, 5-Card Pot Limit Omaha, and 6-Card Pot Limit Omaha at AoF tables.
  • Initial Decisions: All players receive their hole cards and must decide whether to push All-In or Fold. In Hold’em, players decide preflop. In PLO, PLO5, and PLO6, players get to see the flop before deciding what to do.
  • Game Progression: Once the decisions are made, there are no further betting rounds.
  • Hand Rankings: Standard hand rankings of the poker variant apply.
  • Buy-Ins: Players must buy in for the full amount and can not sit down short-stacked.

AoF is designed to help intermediate to professional players work on their push-fold pre-flop ranges. Push-fold charts help players understand when they need to fold and when they need to push all-in when short-stacked in poker tournaments.

How to Play AoF Poker

AoF poker is played at tables of 4, with every player aware that only two decisions are allowed to be made pre-flop.

Here is a quick 3-step example of how a typical game plays out:

The basic setup is the same, no matter which poker variant you play. All players receive their hole cards and must decide to either go All-In or Fold. In Hold’em, players decide preflop, but in PLO, PLO5, and PLO6, the decision comes on the flop.

No Post-Flop Betting

No Post-Flop Betting

There are no traditional post-flop betting rounds. Instead, the game moves directly to the flop, the turn, and the river.

Showdown

Showdown

After the turn and river cards are dealt, the winners are determined. All players in the hand show their cards in a multi-player showdown.
