What is Bomb Pot Poker?
A Bomb Pot is a cash game poker feature running on certain CoinPoker tables.
Here are the two main things to know about Bomb Pots:
- Bomb Pot hands begin on the flop, not preflop
- Everyone puts chips into the pot before the action starts
During a normal hand of poker, the action begins preflop, and only two players pay the blinds. But when a Bomb Pot starts, everyone puts in some chips and moves straight to the flop.
This means bigger pots and instant action.

Rules of Bomb Pot Poker
Bomb Pot rules are the exact same as normal poker rules, once the flop is dealt. Still, there are a few differences you should know.
- Bomb Pot Poker Formats: Texas Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha,5-Card Pot Limit Omaha, and 6 Card Pot Limit Omaha.
- Stakes: $0.01/$0.02 up to $20/$50.
- Preflop Cost: 1BB to 3BB per Bomb Pot hand.
- Game Progression: Preflop action is skipped, the flop is dealt, and the game plays as usual.
- Hand Rankings: Standard hand poker rankings.
Single Board vs Double Board Bomb Pots
Bomb Pot hands on CoinPoker run double boards.
- Single board Bomb Pots use three cards for the flop, then one for the turn, and one for the river.
- CoinPoker’s double board Bomb Pots have two flops, two turns, and two rivers.
This significantly increases the potential for winning combinations and adds another layer of strategy and unpredictability.

Bomb Pot FAQs
A Bomb Pot is a cash game poker variant where all players contribute to a large pot before any cards are dealt, then begin playing poker after the preflop stage.
To play Bomb Pot poker, join a Bomb Pot cash game and wait until your first Bomb Pot hand occurs. The contribution for this special round will automatically be taken, and everyone will start playing on the flop.
This is a double deal, where two separate flops are dealt with all the usual Bomb Pot rules. The game plays normally, but with the option of making a hand from two different flops. When the turn comes, two turn cards are dealt (one for each board). The same double-dealing happens on the river.
Bomb Pot poker can be played in home games, certain casinos, and online poker platforms such as CoinPoker that offer this exciting variant.
