What is Bubble Protection?
If you’ve ever busted one place short of the money, Bubble Protection can help. With this new poker feature, get an automatic refund of your buy-in when you bust during the bubble, as long as you’ve registered early.
To claim Bubble Protection, there are only two things you need to do:
- Register before the tournament starts (Early Pass)
- Use cash or satellite-earned tickets to buy in
After that, if you fall short of a payout on the bubble, we’ll refund your buy-in (including fees).
How Bubble Protection Works
Look for the Bubble Protection icon in the tournament lobby.
Register with cash or tickets before the tournament starts.
If you bust during the bubble, your full buy-in is refunded instantly.
How the Bubble Zone is Calculated
We calculate the bubble period using tournament entries at the late registration close.

Bubble Protection FAQs
If you meet the criteria and get eliminated during the bubble period, your entire buy-in (entry + fee) is refunded to your unused balance automatically.
The bubble refers to the finishing positions just outside the payout zone. The number of bubble spots varies by tournament size and is calculated dynamically based on entries.

No. If you unregister before the tournament starts, your Bubble Protection is void for that event.
Yes! As long as each entry is made using eligible methods, and your original registration was before the tournament started, your Bubble Protection remains active.
