What is No Limp Pot Limit Omaha?
No Limp is one of the variants of Pot Limit Omaha that CoinPoker offers. Like other PLO variants, No Limp puts a twist on the game, while keeping hand rankings and most other rules the same.
A “limp” is a well-known poker term for a passive preflop action.
🔹 Example: Imagine you are playing a $1/$2 cash game, and you’ve received your cards. The action is on you, and nobody has raised yet, so the minimum amount to continue is still $2. If you put in $2, that is a limp. You didn’t raise, and just chose to put in the minimum amount to stay in the hand.
Now that you understand what “limping” is, here’s how No Limp PLO is different from a normal PLO game:
| No Limp PLO | Normal PLO | |
|---|---|---|
| Preflop: | In a pot that has not been opened (no player has raised yet), your first action is either to make a pot-sized raise or to fold. | Players can use various options for their first action, including calling (limping), various customizable bet sizes, pot-sized bets, or folding. |
| Postflop: | Standard Pot Limit Omaha rules | Standard Pot Limit Omaha rules |
| Hand Rankings: | Standard poker hand rankings | Standard poker hand rankings |
| Ante: | 0.2 BB ante per player | Some tables have no ante. Other marked tables have 0.16 BB ante. Heads-up tables can have 0.2 BB ante. |
| Blinds: | $0.50/$1 and up | $0.01/$0.02 and up |
| Table Sizes: | 5-max | Heads-Up, 4-max, 5-max, and 6-max |
