Poker Games at CoinPoker
If you’re looking to play online poker in Singapore we’ve got three exciting poker variants for you: Texas Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha (PLO), and 5-card Pot Limit Omaha.
Unlike the legacy poker operators that offer dozens of different variations that you’ve never played before, at CoinPoker we focus on the most popular poker games so you don’t have to filter through hundreds of cash and tournament tables to find your favourite games.
Texas Hold ‘Em
Texas Hold’em poker is one of the most popular card games in the world, and the most played poker variant.
Each player is dealt two private cards (hole cards), and five community cards are placed face-up on the table in three stages: the flop (three cards), the turn (one card), and the river (one card). Players use a combination of their hole cards and the community cards to make the best five card poker hand.
Betting occurs before and after each of these three stages, and the player with the highest-ranking hand, or the last player remaining after others fold, wins the pot.
Omaha Hold ‘Em
Pot Limit Omaha at CoinPoker is a popular poker variation that is similar to Texas Hold’em but with some key differences.
First of all, each player receives four hole cards, rather than two, and must use exactly two of them with three of the five community cards to form the best possible five-card hand.
The game has the same four betting rounds: pre-flop, flop, turn, and river but, in PLO, betting is limited to the size of the pot, unlike the no-limit betting in Texas Hold’em.
Because players start with four-hole cards in PLO you’ll often see stronger hands, as there’s more opportunities for straights, flushes, and full houses.
5-Card Omaha
5-Card Pot Limit Omaha (5-Card PLO) is a variant of Pot Limit Omaha. Each player receives five private cards instead of four, but must still use exactly two of their private cards and three of the five community cards to form the best possible hand.
The additional hole card increases the potential for stronger hands, making hand selection and post-flop play even more critical compared to regular PLO.
The betting structure remains pot-limit, restricting bets to the size of the pot, like in regular PLO and Hold’em, there are four betting rounds: pre-flop, on the flop, the turn, and the river.

BEST
Although you need to make the best five card hand to win a pot at showdown, players can win pots by getting their opponents to fold. This might be achieved by betting with a strong hand, but it can also be with weaker hands. When you knowingly bet a weak hand to represent a stronger hand, this is known as bluffing.
Blinds & Stakes
Betting works similarly in Texas Hold’em and PLO, but there are key differences between tournaments and cash games.
In tournaments, two compulsory bets, the Small Blind and the Big Blind (typically double the Small Blind), initiate the action and these blinds increase at regular intervals. For example, the game might start at 5/10 and rise to 10/20 after 10 minutes, 20/40 after 20 minutes and so on.
In cash games, betting also features two mandatory blinds, or ‘stakes,’ but these stakes remain constant throughout the game.
Order of Play
The order of play remains consistent across all three poker variants at CoinPoker.
Before dealing begins, the two players to the left of the dealer button post the small blind and big blind. Each player then receives their hole cards: two in Hold’em, four in PLO, or five in 5-Card PLO, followed by the first betting round. Players can fold, call the big blind, or raise. Raises can range from double the big blind to the player’s entire chip stack. If raised, subsequent players can also raise, and the round continues until all remaining players have matched the highest bet.
Next, three community cards, known as the ‘Flop’, are dealt face-up, and another betting round begins with the player to the left of the dealer button. Players can also Check if no previous bet has been made, passing the action onto the player to their left.
The fourth community card (the ‘Turn’) is then dealt face-up, followed by another betting round. The final community card (the ‘River’) is dealt, leading to one last round of betting. Players then reveal their cards to determine the best 5-card poker hand—or all but one player folds their hand.
