Hello everyone! Welcome to my personal blog on OFC Pineapple (Open Face Chinese Poker). After\nthe apparition of the Open Face format as we saw last week, this game has been\nin non-stop evolution, and classic OFC soon became a game that could be played\nin multiple formats: \u201cPineapple\u201d, \u201cPineapple Progressive\u201d, \u201cPineapple Deuce to\nseven\u201d, and even with \u201cJokers\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\ndefinition of \u201cPineapple\u201d means that you receive 3 cards, you keep\/place 2, and\nyou discard one face down<\/strong>.\nThat\u2019s why you may have seen some NLH \u201cPineapple\u201d games or tournaments, where\nyou actually receive 3 cards, but keep only 2 in your hand while you fold the\nthird one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pineapple\n\u201cFantasyland\u201d as played on CoinPoker is today the most popular and well-known\nform of OFC<\/strong>.  In this variation, the number of players is\nlimited to three, because after the initial 5 cards, each player receive not\none card at the time, as it was previously the case, but 3 cards at the time,\nfrom which they have to position two on the board, and discard one.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\nmeans that some cards of the deck will not be visible to the players.\nNevertheless, counting outs remains super important!  Even more fundamental, is the fact that the\nbasic approach of the game has entirely switched with the apparition of this\nnew version, because when you successfully place a pair of Queens or better on\ntop (without fouling obviously), you gain access to what we call\n\u201cFantasyland\u201d.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fantasyland\nmeans that you will receive all your 14 cards face down at once, and you will\nhave the comfort of placing 13 of them wherever you want on your board, folding\none card.<\/strong> This\nreally brought back the risk and reward aspect of the game, because not only\nyou have to focus on not busting out and on beating your opponents\u2019 lines, but\nyou are also trying to make at least a pair of Queens on top in order to get to\nFantasyland!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
