High stakes regular, magician, pageant queen, and CoinPoker ambassador Melika Razavi loves hitting the cash game tables. To give our community some insight into her pot-winning strategies, Melika will walk you through two great hands step-by-step.<\/b><\/p>\n

Hand #1<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In a three-handed game, <\/span>been<\/b> opens 3x to 75 from the button. Small blind folds and I call with \"\"\"\". I chose to defend this hand because from the button I have a very wide range, and \"\"\"\" is\u00a0a good enough hand to defend.<\/span><\/p>\n

I check the flop and <\/span>been<\/b> makes a pot sized bet of 160. I decided to call because I believe my second pair in a heads up game is strong enough, plus I don’t think he would do that with his nuts to get me out the hand. <\/span><\/p>\n

Also, I observed <\/span>been<\/b>\u2019s bet sizes are during previous games, and you can pick up a lot of information by how your opponent bets. <\/span><\/p>\n

The turn is a \"\". \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I decided to call because, as I mentioned above, I believe if he had nuts he wouldn’t pot bet.”<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I check again and <\/span>been<\/b> bets 480, another pot sized bet. Here I have two options: to raise or just call. almagenio<\/b> decided to donk bet this flop to 35, half the pot. Because I have a nut flush draw I decided to raise him to 105 in position.<\/span><\/p>\n

In position, I generally like to bet 3x my opponent\u2019s bet.”<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If I would have been out of position I would have bet 4x his or even more depending on how many big blinds we both have. But in position, I generally like to bet 3x<\/strong> my opponent\u2019s bet. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

He called and we take the turn which is a \"\".<\/span><\/p>\n

I figured that he would call here if he was representing a set, two pairs, or a lower flush as he made a donk bet on the flop.”<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The river is an\u00a0\"\", and <\/span>almagenio<\/b> decided to donk bet again, 730 into a 660 pot.\u00a0<\/span>I had a total of 830 left behind. While holding the nuts it was obviously a perfect scenario for me, and I put him all in for 830 so he only had to call 100 more. <\/span><\/p>\n

He snap-called and showed \"\"\"\"\u00a0and I won with the best hand.<\/span><\/p>\n
