To give our community some insight into her pot-winning strategies, Melika will walk you through two great hands step-by-step.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>Hand #1<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a four-handed game, I limped with\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1434\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2018\/11\/A-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1471\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2018\/11\/8-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/>\u00a0from the small blind. <\/span><b>VenturaBay<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> raised to 400 from the big blind and I called. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1692\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2019\/02\/CHP-VALUE-RISES-30.png\" alt=\"High Stakes Hand Analysis Hand 1 CoinPoker\" width=\"1200\" height=\"628\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I like to limp <strong>100%<\/strong> of my small blind versus big blind range. With this hand it&#8217;s an easy limp call, or sometimes a limp raise, depending on my opponent\u2019s gameplay. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The flop is <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1443\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2018\/11\/Q.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1478\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2018\/11\/Q-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1689\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2019\/02\/6-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/>, which is a really good dry board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I usually like to check-call most hands in this situation, particularly when I hold an\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1434\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2018\/11\/A-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/>\u00a0 in my hand or even a <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1442\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2018\/11\/K-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/>\u00a0high.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I checked and <strong>VenturaBay<\/strong> bet 222. I called. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The turn is\u00a0the\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1429\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2018\/11\/10-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/>, and here I know that if I check and my opponent checks back then I most likely have the best hand. I check and, luckily for me, <\/span><b>VenturaBay<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> checks back.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We go to the river and it\u2019s the\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1438\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2018\/11\/10-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/>. <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My hand is strong enough here to check and win most of the time, meaning I don&#8217;t have to risk betting on the river and getting pushed out of the hand.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If I decide to bet here my opponent could easily bluff-raise me out of the hand. I always think a few steps ahead before making a decision, something that poker players should aim to do all the time.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If he would have decided to bet I would definitely call depending on his bet size.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So I checked, and once again <\/span><b>VenturaBay<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> checked back. It\u2019s an overbet, but I decided to raise here for the following reasons:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For <strong>value<\/strong>, because it&#8217;s a limp pot and it&#8217;s hard to make a pair. In this case l have the top pair in a heads up situation plus a gutshot.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By raising I get to keep my<strong> bluff range<\/strong> like all my straight draws and flush draws. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So I raised to 900 and <\/span><b>NenePoker<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> called.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The turn is the\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1501\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2018\/12\/5-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/>, and this is where things get interesting. <\/span><b>NenePoker<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> decides to donk bet the size of the pot, which is 2,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this bet size, I don\u2019t think he is polarized, so I put him on draws, two pairs, or air.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My hand has improved to two pairs and it\u2019s not hard to call since I don\u2019t believe he would make that move with nuts to get me out of the hand. With this bet size, I don\u2019t think he is polarized, so I put him on draws, two pairs, or air.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I called and the river is the\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1441\" src=\"https:\/\/coinpoker.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2018\/11\/K-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"28\" \/>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>NenePoker<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> goes all in with almost half of the pot &#8211; 2,905 into 6,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I decided to call because the river didn&#8217;t complete the flush and, as I thought on the turn, I don&#8217;t believe he has a straight. I also don&#8217;t think he would donk bet all the way with nuts.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For less than half the pot it&#8217;s a definite call with two pairs.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If he would have more chips and he would decide to overbet the pot then I would have probably folded my hand.
